Membership Benefits
Being a member at Middlesbrough Golf Club is special. It is a very sociable club with a friendly atmosphere and the traditions you would expect from a club of over 100 years old. This does not mean it is a stuffy old-fashioned club; its members are just like you - keen to play golf on a great course, at a time that suits them and then enjoy themselves with friends at the 19th.
Full Course Access
Enjoy great access to the course all week with member only tee-times.
Competitions
Participate in a full programme of competitive golf, with mid-week comps too.
Events
Our club enjoys an active social calendar with popular events throughout the year.
Membership Fees 2024-2025
Discounted membership is available for intermediates, juniors and children. The subscription year begins on 1st April - the fee is adjusted pro rata for members joining throughout the calendar year. Annual fees can be paid in full or spread over 12 months via direct debit. If applicable, our entrance fee can be paid over five years.

No entrance fee.
There is no entrance fee for Intermediates/Junior/Child/Bunny categories, but on transferring to a Full Membership, the entrance fee shall be determined based on the current joining fee and the Member's number of full-years consecutive membership. If the Member has completed five or more full years consecutive membership, the joining fee will be waived. For between one and four full years of consecutive membership there will be a pro-rata reduction in the joining fee.
Joining our Club
Joining our club is a simple process. After completing a short application form, new members will be invited to meet the Captain and Membership Secretary to get to know each other and introduce you to our club. Three ways to join:

CORPORATE Package
A corporate package is offered, allowing unlimited golf (except during the times allocated for Gents and Ladies competitions on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
Guests accompanying the named person qualify for reduced green fee. Five courtesy fourball vouchers (per year). Discounted tuition with our PGA Professional. Meeting room hire in our Clubhouse facility. (50% discount) Annual Corporate Golf Day for up to 40 Golfers (50% discount on green fee).
One additional Corporate Card may be included in the package for a further £954 including VAT per year. Holders of corporate Cards will be entitled to the bar and catering discounts that are enjoyed by social members of the Club. Please contact the Secretary for more information.
Golfing Tri-Agreement
In addition to playing golf at Middlesbrough Golf Club, we also offer our members discounted golf at two other varying courses situated in the north east.
ROCKLIFFE HALL
A modern Championship course which often hosts the Trilby Tour and Senior Opens. Rockliffe Hall is located in the village of Hurworth, near Darlington.
HARTLEPOOL
Hartlepool’s links course offers a challenge to the experienced player as well as the novice. The wind frequently blows, changing its nature from day to day.
Great Golf throughout the UK & Ireland
Membership at Middlesbrough gives golfers reciprocal or discounted green fees at hundreds of great courses throughout the UK and Ireland. Whether planning a trip or travelling on business, membership offers possibilities for a game wherever you are.
James Braid Association
Renowned golf course architect and Five-times Open Champion James Braid designed over 400 courses, including our own. Over 300 of those courses came together in the Association of James Braid Courses, founded by a Past Captain and Past President of Henley Golf Club. Members of Middlesbrough Golf Club enjoy preferential green fees at these courses when booking in advance.
1908 Society
We are proud members of the Society of 1908 Golf Clubs, established to promote friendship between clubs. Members of Middlesbrough Golf Club enjoy golf on member courses on a reciprocal or discounted basis when booking in advance. Courses within a 50 mile radius of Middlesbrough offer 50% off green fees.
Middlesbrough Golf Club has been awarded the SafeGolf standard, demonstrating our commitment to the standards set by the SafeGolf partnership in safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk in the sport of golf.
